I can only comment from CPT MTB stage races that they do not have bike washes on last day, Epic and W2W ride does not have or what I have noticed.

Epic had.

Again, for the cheap seats, always done it myself before, but , having just done Ironman in 50kph winds, I thought I might spoil myself.

I'll try to leave some warm water ;)

Dont worry man, there is a bike wash at the end! LAst year my bike was washed before I could even get my breath back, cant remember paying either, could be R50. Over the finish line and straight toward the tennis courts! Enjoy!!!!

So thread tite could read: "Cyclelab a bit annoying"; rather than "rip-off"?

Think the guy works for a newspaper...misleading headlines...then read the story it is not so bad. ;)

does no one clean their bike themselves anymore.......I saw cyclelab offering a special for unlimited bike washed until end Sept.......are we all pro's now?

I have a bike that has never seen the inside of a bike shop since the day I bought it 3 yrs ago and don't plan to ever, unless I need a wheel trued, but them i'm just taking in the wheel......man I have trust issues :-)

Thanks dude, that is good news. I confess it's not the bike wash so much that bothers me, it's the non-disclosure.

I am the same way usually, but not a big fan of the queuing to wash your bike. And when I come in there is a queue ;)

Must confess to a bit of sensationalism! Mea Culpa.

mmmm must be honest...after reading the ad, I also get the impression that the bike will be washed after the last day especially since they are charging 950 zars for the package. They don't say they will wash the bike, but they also don't they won't...grey grey grey.

Also considering you are using the transport service....eish

I don't....seems pretty clear to me.No wash or service after the event

And this sentence , in a three day event?

"the assurance that all you have to do is focus on getting from start to finish each day "

Should read "except day 3 when you're on your own"

Where do they spell it out wurm? Please show me....like I said, its grey...they don't say they will wash the bike, but they also don't they won't. If I had to read this ad, I would expect a wash afterwards

All I read is

"Minor Service Daily: Set gears, set brakes, true wheels, inspect headset, inspect BB, inspect hubs, inspect cable wear, inspect suspension, inspect pivots, inspect tyre wear, inspect tyre sealant"

Which days are they talking about mmmm?
