I'm not a huge Wigins fan, find him bland, boring and typically English, BUT i think he's the man to beat...... He's pretty much winning everything Cuddles won in the TDF build up last year.... Looks to be riding at a different level to the rest of the TDF gc contenders..

Seems to be the ultimate alrounder. He can smoke the owes 4km's around a track, win a 50km TT, and climb with the best...

This is his year... Barring the million variables and diasters that cycling throws at you!!!

I thought last year was his year, according to Phil, and then he crashed.

But still, selfish to hold on to Froome for so long.

Like Voeckler at the tour, as soon as he cracked for real he let his man go and win the stage.

If you've got a team riding for you, then you have to ride like a team player, if there is someone in a better position than you on the day then they should go for it.

Froome surprized everyone, including his own team, with his strength.

If he was let loose (sooner), there is no doubt that the result would've been different.

Wiggo is the 'Great British Hope' and hopefully Team Sky won't be blinded by that again.

Would Froome be the nr 2. GC contender?

I go for EBH to win stage 1

I think it will be a breakaway and someone like Sylvain Chavanel taking it, as the big boys will take it easy on the first stage

Also Phillipe Gilbert (completely forgot he started)

From the live updates it looked like a hectic finish. Evans took the win with a late attack - how about that for throwing your hat into the ring.

Schleck got dropped on the last climb...

It's like watching a kindergarten class...

Also dropped, and more surprisingly, was Andy Schleck of RadioShack-Nissan. Riding next to Astana's Alexandre Vinokourov, the younger Schleck crossed the finish line more than three minutes after Evans, which will undoubtedly bring the next lecture of Johan Bruyneel.

I think the sponsors are getting edgy with RNT's performance.

Bruyneel must be under big pressure.

This is a 'super team' after all.
