Hey Guys,

So I'm looking at finally making the step up to a 29er (hardtail).

I'm guess I'm currently what you would call an intermediate rider (more than leisure rides, but don't race competitively) and I'm looking at getting something for around about the R10k price range. Any suggestions on the best bikes in in this range?

I currently have a Scott and Marin and love both but the new Merida's look like really good value for money. I like the look of the KTM's but I get the feeling you paying for the name there and the GT's in that price range seem rather heavy.

Also, are there any shops that you guys can recommend in Johannesburg East and Sandton areas?

Thanks a lot,

Cheers

Phone Finish line cycles, and ask Clint what he has for 10k in 29er

Thanks, I've actually heard good things RE Finish Line Cycles.

And don't forget to get a red one, everyone knows they are faster!

HAHA, obvisously! And with racing stripes... Fiesta & Mini drivers can't be wrong!

R14400(Fox Front,Nearly Full XT).Large21"-12.4Kg, not to bad

I'm looking at the specs now, it's very impressive!

Is the Big Nine XT-D better spec'd than the Big Nine TFS900-D?
