differences between cassettes

i am wanting to know what are the fundamental differences between the different shimano road cassettes.

I currently have a tiagra cassette and chain with 105 shifters etc. What would the benefits if any be in upgrading these to the 105 cassette and chain as well?

Tiagra 4600 Cassette +- 256g

105 5700 Cassette +- 251g

 

*Both 10 speeds, 12-25

Lol, not really concerned about the weight, more about the quality of materials, resistance to corrosion, durability etc.

Lol, yes the 5g of "material" difference will make a MASSIVE change in "quality of materials, resistance to corrosion, durability etc."
