patches Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 decent... I wouldn't call them decent. I would call them AMAZING! I love my Barons! They have endured much of my blood and sweat (no tears, those are for lycra wearers). I think my right one needs a wash though. I got some red stuff in it (BTW, gash on leg is not related to foot slipping off pedal. Purely a result of rider error. The right half of me decided to emergency eject from my bike mid 12m jump. The left half and hands decided to try ride it out, haha)

They are really awesome shoes.I prefer them over the Impacts as they are slightly more flexible which for me feels like they grip even better. The rubber also seems to be holding up pretty well to the abuse of the riding and pedals (I run slightly longer studs). Good shoe! You won't regret buying them.

patches Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Yup! I have Sam Hill's (Impacts) and I also prefer the Baron. Especially cos certain riding buddies say that Sam Hill's look like "gardener shoes"

I was wearing the Barons I think... but I cased that jump so hard that I don't think even clips would have kept me locked in. I was also on someone else's bike and obviously not on my pedals. I had no business hitting that jump. I got what I deserved.
