Next Sunday sees us visiting the hallowed ground of SBR for some pre-Jock training. Meeting at the car park at 7am. Probably do one or two laps depending on the group. Any Hubbers keen on joining the fun?

Three laps (no I did not say that), with ice cream in between each lap?

Fair enough. Have you done three laps?

Not yet, but doing the Jock. Two laps at SBR should give enough ascent ;) All depends on the pace, and the ice cream!

Saying that, I am a full 20 minutes behind the Strava leader for the 57km loop :(

Still intimidated by SBR but will be there (most likely 9am). Think after the Jock, wont be so bad doing SBR.

Hope to complete first loop by about 930. Maybe see you on the road :-)

Agh Suikerbos is great training for the Jock but the Jock in some senses isn't as steep so seems easier.

My little opinion.

But if you aren't fit, both will hurt like hell ;)

This will be my 1st time at SBR.

Where is the entrace? Driving on the N17 and turning left at Nigel then Heidelberg or is there a better routeentrace for me?

One or two laps sounds good. Any expectations w.r.t. time to do a loop?

Go N3, take exit 79, R550 Lenasia/Nigel, turn right towards Lenasia. Go about 10km on R550 and turn left at the sign for the Protea Hotel. We'll meet in main car park in the reserve.

Thanks, what time and how cold is it that time of the morning?
