Im running a set of these on the SS. Tested them before I bought them secondhand and there appeared to be nothing wrong with them.

I replaced the pads and had some difficulty pushing back the pistons on the front. They eventually budged and i was able to slip in the new pads.

During my first ride with the bike I noticed the front brake not bein as sharp as I would like it to be. At first I thought this might be the combination of a new pad and the new disc. Towards the end of the ride the lever however would bottom to the bar and then get firm again. The brake also started howling a bit.

Pulled the pads today to sand them back a bit and they were drenched in brake fluid. Not cool.

Im worried about the leaking. Also noticed a small bit of brake fluid in the overflow bit at the side of the reservior on the levers.

Did I buy a dud or will a good service help. Who can do this for me?

Can't believe that it's a dud...

Would suggest you get someone to strip-it, clean-it, check-it, and bleed-it....

Randburg area - can personally only suggest Linden Cycles or Mike Bikes.

Or you can just pop around my house, we can have a quick look-see for you....

Had a bit of a run-in with Linden Cycles a few weeks back. Worst service ever.

Will let you know how my week goes.

Apologies for keeping them busy the last few weeks. Service from them has been wonderful
