Brilliant! That way you intimidate and then mentally dominate yourself at the same time!!!! What a rollercoaster of emotions!

Its like a Catch 22 but instead of catching 22's you're just catching great training!

And people say that indoor training is boring!

I also like to put my bike on the trainer with a mirror behind it. Then I practice that "Lance to Ullrich look around straight in the eyes" before attacking myself on the trainer.

One time ...at band camp....I attacked myself on the trainer...it did not end well...

My parole hearing is next month... :whistling:

Once you get to the top step of your podium, do you use blow up dolls for that peck on each cheek?

Yes.

Top Tip:

Its important to remember to remove the thorns of the roses though otherwise you will be in for some embarrasing trips to the local XXX store. Buying 2 dolls maybe be considered socially acceptable but buying 3 to 4 a week raises eyebrows.

Was your cadence too low? Try to push a smaller gear

I always put the fan on full in front of me on the trainer so that i get more of a workout riding into the head wind.

And if I want to simulate a Jo'burg ride, we smash bottles on the carpet and get the kids to cross backwards and forwards in front of me; then one of them pinches my cellphone.

Do you practice macing them? Does he give the sim card back or take everything? Be careful, when they wizen up they'll realise that the bike is more valuable that your cellphone and then they'll pinch that

The Mrs gets upset when i mace the kids; I do fart a bit though which keeps them back for a while.

She must not understand your sophisticated training methods but I believe you've arrived at an agreeable compromise.

Haha indeed! Farting is an important aspect of training when stationary. It helps me to simulate a fly or bug in the eye during a race. Its sometimes difficult to keep your eyes open when they are "under stress" so this is the perfect way to do this.
