New brakes on the SS - check

Bikes cleaned - check

Riding kit - check

Early night - check

See you all in the morning.

Have just done the same except I haven't got my new Hope brakes yet.

It looks like I will ride down with Damian only. We will collect my girls at 09h30 at Fratelli on the way back up river.

The wife's commuter was converted to SS this afternoon too. She won't be on it for this ride though.

Woould love to start at Fratellis and do the double route but I dont think my legs will allow it. Frat to Paulshof to Emmarentia to Paulshof to Fratellis would be 60km if i worked it out right.

Might not be the best idea just yet.

Who else had a good time today?

Im a bit sore but hey that's what I get for leaving the gears and suspension at home.

Thanks to all who came. Great 40km and I think everybody will agree when I say a big big thanks to Slick and hismwife for all the help with coaching some skill and helping to sweep the back.

Big thanks to all who came out to make it such a great ride. I think we had about 16 riders at one point.

Until next time!

This was 40 km for some people.

Thanks for organising the ride S.I.R. M it was a great ride. Unfortunately I was being a bit over ambitious with the 80km but it was still an awesome ride. Slick I am going to come back to you for some more pointers especially after what you said about if you are "sitting in single track you are doing it all wrong".

if you are "sitting in single track you are doing it all wrong".

Do expand on this for us?

Unless you literally mean sitting on the seat, coz that would seem obvious.
