lol... yeah, okay. The lack of a 52 would be a serious detriment on the flats / downs. But that would be the only detriment.

Yup. All the mounts are the same, except for the brakes. You'd either need to have disc mounts attached or run calipers. AFAIK the shifters and derailleurs are compatible too if they're from the same manufacturer.
