hi, i'm no good at this, and need help

So i've set up the machine as described in the user manual i downloaded

Now when i take it for a spin, it doesn't seem to do anything except show my cadence (thank goodness i got that bit right)

What else should it be doing? I'm kinda expecting it to show speed, distance, and maybe the 'route' that was traveled?

Or does it only indicate speed and distance via the sensor pick-up, and not via gps placement?

If any other owners can please help this fool out.

Cheers

Ryno

You're lucky, my cadence sendor only works once in while, the wireless sensor chows batteries quickier than a BlackBerry and I've just given up on them.

There could be two problems for you, the Bryton takes a while to find the satelites before it will show you a speed, I'm in the habit now of putting it on the bike when I take it of the carrier and pressing the start button as if I'm starting my ride while I finish kitting up. When you power up the Bryton select the meter mode, and then press the start button, it should ask you if you want to start, press the start button again (2nd possible problem). Give it some time to find the satelites, it normally takes 2 - 3 minutes. It will start to show the speed only after it found your position.

You should setup your screens. Go to Settings>Display>Meter> and continue setting up how many Screens you want, how many Tiles of data you want to see per screen (Cadence, Speed, HR, Temp, Alt., etc-Max 6data fields per screen), and what you want those tiles/data fields to display. Therer are a multitude of options. I think there may be around 50 data fields to choose from. You will probably play with this settings a bit, before yousettle in with what you want to see on your display.

The wireless sensors do not chow battery........ Definitely not as much as a BB...... LOL

What I nwould do is change the battery in your cadence sensor, and try to tilt it a bit so that it's closer to the magnet on the crank arm. I had a similar problem with the cadence sensor........ And since I made those 2 changes I had no issues, and I did about 60hrs on the bike............ Still going strong.

Bryton does definitely not take long to get GPS Signal. You can, however, set the GPS sensitivity to be more sensitive, ie. gt signal quicker, and maintain signal better. It does use more battery though, but that doesn't seem to be a problem with the Brytons.

still no joy, it only shows my history as being available to upload onto the device, and under planned trips it shows "no Data".

although in my collection i can view my planned trips. this is all in "manage my device" tab.

am i missing a step to upload from "my Collection" to my device? :cursing:
