I have a Merida with Fox 36Talas 160 R-OB 20 Taper, it, used to have 3 settings, 100mm, 130mm and 160mm.

It now only runs 160mm permanently the other 2 settings are not working at all.

I have tried to release all pressure and re-pressure, to no avail.

Anyone have an idea as to what could be the problem?

System works with oil in a closed chamber, presuming the nothing is wrong with your lever,at the top.I would think it would be this, they are complicated to work on,recommend you take it to a fox agent.

What Merida frame are you riding?

I don't see too much of a problem here. :P

Most of the time I forget that I can decrease travel from 150mm to 130 or 110mm if I wanted to.

So keeping it on 160mm is not a problem?

No. Was tongue in cheek reffering to my preferred riding style. ;)

I think you should get it checked out. I completely agree with SIR M's post above. I was there over the weekend when 4barlinkage sorted 2 issues on his Reba in less than 5 minutes flat.

I have it at the shop at the moment, hopefully it can get sorted, else I need to get hold of the people listed, would not know where to start to get hold of them.

Thanks Man, it's a sweet ride.

I haven't tested one yet but I'm fully in favour of increasing the number of long travel bikes in SA.

Edit: that looks sweet.

The two little things he sorted completely changed the fork and the bike. Unbelievable difference.!.

I'm glad to hear it.

He is amazing to watch at the water points on the major stage races - how quickly he can repair a problem and get okes going - even without all the spares.
