standard 3in1 from the hardware store - mostly because the bottle comes with a long nozzle so it's easy to apply to hard-to-reach places.

 

more importantly don't use too much (excess oil just collects dirt and slides it into the moving parts causing them to wear quicker): one drop into the bearing of each pulley (rd) and on each of the pivot points (fd and rd) is enough.

Q20 - Used on the same derailleur for the last 11 years - still running smoothly.

Q-20 oil for me, bought a syringe with a long thick needle, filed off the tip and use that to put a drop on all the hard to reach moving spots once every 3 or 4 months. I dont use this on the RD wheels though, I gently remove the seals from the wheels and clean out the crap and push in some fresh grease.
