Has anybody else noticed that certain online race entry platforms take CSA day license fees even though you hold a valid race license?

This has happened to me on a few occasions, 94.7 is one of them and all the Nissan Trailseeker races (there are more but i wasn't keeping track until now). I have contacted CSA because Advendurance simply doesnt respond, they validated my license and told me to take it up with the organiser.

I simply want to know if its only me or are these companies taking fees off of unsuspecting cyclists and hoping only a few query the problem.

I think they stand to make alot of money in this manner....So is it just me????

If this is the case then it's a bug in the system.

What happens, or is supposed to happen, is when you register the system checks your ID number against the CSA database for the relevant license. If it finds it, you shouldn't be invoiced the R30 for the day license, if it's not found you should be invoiced the R30.

But yes, I'd take it up with the organiser. Maybe they will notice that there's a problem.

Has happened to me on 2 races have entered. Just register your entry and say pay later, then email the race organisers quoting your ID and CSA numbers. They will do the alteration to your entry which is on the system and advise you. When you log back in after notification that they have fixed the matter to make payment the CSA day licence will be removed.

Is a pain/glitch in the system, but a little patience and an email will resolve the matter without having to pay for a day licence.

tried this with ASG events, with no avail. 2 x day licensed equals 70 od ront...even though my son and i have valid CSA licenses.

Worked for me,but guess it is up to the organisers to sort it out if you email them.
