If the lever goes back all the way to the bar it def needs bleeding. I reckon you start hammering on your bike shop to get this fixed

Im too scared to ask who the LBS is.

As well.

PS, My advice would have been different if I'd known one was involved from the start.

thing is I phoned the workshop to ask advice ( before I knew the bolts were loose) and they said it could be many different things .well the bike were in the shop last week you mean I have to bring it back again.I like to ride my bike not take it to the shop every week to get fixed and ride it on weekends.

I did not even think to check the caliper ( that it might be loose) because it just came back from the shop.

I mean so I they work on your bike fix the brakes and the only two bolts that need to be fastened is left loose is that neglegence , lack of interrest or what .....................

Thats is the reason why I come on the forums and ask how to do things because only me will look after my bike they way it shoudl be done

before I took the bike in the get bleeding done on the brakes I asked on the forums first and it seemed like a difficult thing to do so I finally decided to take it to the shop

the more I can do myself the better .

Maybe thats why you cannot see the workshop

I opend the brake pads a little and now the lever pulls in almost all the way to the bar.

So I think I have solved one problem but created another.

Just pump the brakes a few times to reset the pads if you've pushed them back. they will go back to their original position. Then to line up the rotor and caliper loosen the bolts a turn. spin the wheel. hit the brakes. hold the brake whilst you tighten the bolts. You might have to repeat a few times before it's 100% kosher.

1 more thing. Always do a bolt check when you get your bike back from the shop. It could end up saving you a lot of money and pain.
