Hi Forum,

Looks like I've taken ownership of a used Scattante R-650 road frame, my size, hardly used.... one thing though....

Previous owner has broken the drop-out, and I need to enquire a new one....

I've tried all bike shops around, E-bay, Pilo (drop-out manufacturer) and nobody seems to know what to sell me.

Unfortunately I do not have the old drop-out to use a sample, and I have been quote a number of occassions to have it machined locally for around R1200-R2000... which is abit ridiculous

If anyone has anymore info, pics, sketches, hand drawn pictures of the drop out please feel free to share,

It's an awesome frame and I'd love to get it going but I've battled with this for quite some time....

Thanks guys!!

I've tried to see how this drop-out will work... a bloke in the UK recommended the same (I believe its a D-73) but judging by the frame shape I dont think this will fit...

I have no idea why these e-bay sellers insist this fits this frame?

I see your point!

Maybe the R200 odd will be worth the risk if they are so adamant that it will fit. Better than the R1000 to machine one...

why don't you have it traced out and drawn in auto-cad... laser-cut and then just tapped for the derailleur..

shouldnt cost more than 150.

I've had quotes done for that, and they tend to be expensive.

I can trace it as far as I can see it on the frame, but have no clue what it looks like after that....

Found one at a CNC manufacturer in Israel, called Pilo (Part No: D-198)

Apparently the same drop-out is used on Santa Cruz - Stigmata (cross dirt bike)

Set me back 29Euro but hey.... cant wait to put that frame back on the road :)
