Trainer tyre - if not this is possibly your problem - you need a rubber compound that doesn't get too hot.Also maybe you have the roller set too hard against the rear tyre. It just has to touch the rear tyre enough so that the tyre doesn't slip when pedaling. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Scooterza Posted October 22, 2012 Share Something I have done a few times is to have the cable that controls the tension just lightly touching the rear wheel - result = burning rubber/plastic smell. Just ensure that your tensioning cable is placed so that it doesn't touch your rear wheel at all. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
