I had a major wipeout earlier this year just before that downhill along the fence ,lost alot of skin, still got the scars to prove it.So I definitely know what he is feeling.

Poor guy had a *** day out. Bonked, fixed that, flatted, fixed that. ants in the pants (yes, really) fixed that, got hooked in the fence (bar ends for the fail) and after that the OTB. Also lost all air in front tire with that OTB, and ended up having to seat a Rocket Ron with a mini-pump- fortunately I was at hand to do this, as he was in no state to do anything but cuss for quite some time.

Note to self: If your ride starts out like that, you might as well pack up,go home and have a cold one.

yeah, I don't pedal too good. I also don't know how to fix punctures. So these experienced guys must stay close to help me with stuff like that

Only if you show us mere mortals some gap jumps etc thumbup1.gif

I had a race like that a year ago. First a puncture, then the chain got stuck between crank and frame, and then my rear shifter broke. What made it worse is that it was like 10km from the start/finish. So I walked back, chucked my bike on the bakkie and waited for my friend to finish with a few cold ones and a burger

If we start at say, 7 am, should we be finished at 10am-ish? I have to make a quick exit on Saturday, its me and the Boss' wedding anniversary, but she graciously gave me permission to ride. Even though she has no interest in the sport, she surprises me sometimes....

Cool. We will host your anniversary party in the picnic area. Tell her to be there at about 10h30.
