Giant Trailer Buggy

I need some help. We received this little Giant Trailer as a gift from friends that we can use with our little ones on the cycle paths here in Table View, but the actual linking device to attach the buggy to the bike has gone missing.

 

I have contacted the Giant agents, and they simply say they are unable to help, since they no longer support this product. It is thus now a white elephant standing in the garage, but we would like to try and get this thing working.

 

Doen anyone know what parts it is that I still need, or can help me with sourcing said parts, either new, second hand or manufactured.

True, but I really do not want to trust my kids' lives to duct tape...

That's what I call a giant white elephant.

 

How about trying to make something out of the universal joint used by windsurfers to attacht the mast foot to the board? It is basically a very strong rubber connector that can bend in any direction and it has a bolt sticking out of both ends that could be attached to the trailer on one end and the bike on the other. You'll have to think out the box on this one.
