Extra cash ... where to spend?

Wheels without a doubt.

Dave Wiseman always told me buy the best, lightest, strongest wheels you can afford.

They make more difference that anything else on your bike.

Impress all your friends and go the Ultegra Di2 route. Not many of those around

Hmmmm, having reached my 40's, the desire to impress seems to have evaporated .... fortunately the desire for speed has not :)

Can you elaborate? I know it's lighter than Ultegra, but why "amazing"?

The double tap is very easy to use, on the back the right finger has a short push to make the gears harder and a longer push to make the gears easier. But the real "amazing" is the bullet like shift, almost like you pushed a button and it moved, it doesn't feel like you are pulling or releasing a cable.

On the left side, the front, every push changes the ring, either up or down and again it feels like a button was pushed and a motor did the rest. Changing rings under load is no longer an issue.

The all internal cable run also makes for a stunningly clean install.

But is it worth 9k more than Ultegra? Not sure. But lighter stiffer wheels really are worth the extra in terms of ride upgrade.

that's a great list, would like to see it with pricing as well, really see whats "bang for buck" - I'll guess Force is least grams per Rand?
