SLOW afternoon spruit ride - 05 Dec 2012

Ok, ok, I'll take it on the chin since I suppose I was the most regular of the group, with 1.5 rides under my belt!

As Arête says, we waited from 5.15 to 5.40 and then headed up the usual route with 1.5 laps of Emmerentia and 1.5 laps of Alberts and back to Frats for beer and pizza. Missed the text message from Mags, sorry again, I know what it's like!

Great ride with Ross joining us until we left Emmerentia and then Arête(new), Shane(new) and myself pushing on throu the night round Alberts and back.

Hopefully all the broken bikes and people will be up and running by next week again.

Arete. Don 't be too hard on yourself. We can't expect you to know the protocols on your first ride. That was the first time none of the regular ride leaders could make it - I'm sure it will all be back to normal nex time.

I would suggest a confirmation list at the top of the post and that we stipulate that the 4.15 ride leaves at 4.30 and the 5.30 ride leaves at 5.45 or even 5.45 for 6 as it was still light by the time we were doing our second lap of Alberts. I'm sure Maxxis can work out how to do a list we can access in the post.

Arete, nice to meet you yesterday and had a great ride even though I landed us in it! Good ride with no crashes, punctures or ripped tyres.......see what a group of 29ers can do!

Nobody did anything wrong. Just a case of miscommunication and a slight misunderstanding.

 

If the first page had a list with names it would be easy to coordinate according to numbers.

 

Please don't feel like you don't want to join again.

Just turn the lamp inwards so the brightest spot is in the centre of the trail - no need to put the actual light in the centre.
