Any reviews yet or inside info on Silverback Sprada?

Hey everyone,

 

So anyone come across reviews yet? Or maybe have a connection with inside info?

 

A friend of mine is very interested in a Sprada 1 because it offers fantastic value. He is hesitant to pre-order because of the less-than-stellar reviews attracted by the bike's predecessor, the Mercury 29er.

 

Just looking at the Sprada's specs it appears, on paper at least, as though Silverback really tried to address the main concerns of Mercury reviewers, namely the long chainstays and outdated suspension design.

What is the expected price?

Not sure what the final price will be. From what I can see from some of the Euro sites it looks like €2750...so will not be cheap after the exchange rate conversion.

 

However, Silverback has a local subsidiary in SA so hopefully they will try to keep the final price down :S

Went for a test ride this morning on the Sprada 1 at Meerendal!

 

What a bike!!!

 

Amazing! Good on the climbs and even better downhill!
