Nice... those were one of my options for my cleated experiment.

I eventually went for these

With these pedals

Shoes haven't arrived yet. As for the pedals, after reading reviews I probably should have waited for the Mallet DH's or gone for the Time Freeride Z.

very happy with my flat pedals!

Nice! Low profile. Wide platform. No centre pins (so your shoes don't get chewed up so fast).

My flat pedal combo is this

I'm really keen on trying Flats, but Diald bikes dont have any stock oon the 510 freeriders, or the neutron pedals.

When I get an idea in my head, I want to do it NOW!!! so this is really killing me. Need to find an alternative supplier.

I presume you're getting them from CRC. Will you let me know the duty % you pay on them?

Can one use Skate shoes such as Vans ?

You can, but apparently they don't offer nearly the grip of the 510's. But they're better than using your old pair of running shoes :)

Speaking of flats, did anyone use bear traps on their BMX's when they were young?

Now those things could take a chunk out of your shin eek.gifpost-24109-0-73982600-1357589612_thumb.jpg

Do you want to see what my shins look like from those?

Cruel amount of pain those things could inflict.
