Dropper posts and repair stands

I pop in an old seatpost and clamp that. I guess you could clamp the dropper post.

 

I will not clamp the frame.

 

How do you clamp your bike?

I clamp on the seat post. The jaws of my parker have a soft rubber insert. Also if the seat post can support my fat a** then the clamp will not be a problem!!

Seatpost - Parktool PCS25 stand clamp seems to be friendly to the seatpost finish.

what about dropping the post to it's lowest position, then raising the entire post in the frame to give adequate clamping area.

yes... and what about when you have a trials bike with no seatpost!

I think the problem then lies with the workstand! everyone should just work on upside down bikes like I do

If im going to be changing the position of the post I might as well pull it and and clamp another post in the frame

Seen a few shops clamp them on the seat tube

 

Best option would be a BB/fork mounted stand.

hmmm... I would just raise it. Far less effort than swopping posts and securing the dropper
