I have started with some light homework for the next build, an "art bike" for David, and found some amazing images, some of which which I'll share. What the final bike will look like, I have no idea this early on, but it must be unique and a work of art in itself. If we build it on a South African made frame, then it must have a local art connection. If on a European frame, then a continental art connection. Somehow it must also reflect his personality, perhaps I should let him do the artwork on  he frame? Or make the design a surprise? Lovely to dream and plan!

Of course, I'll use any excuse to slip in a quick Colnago picture - just to explain why they are held in such high regard for their factory paint work. This from an Art Decor frame.

In my years I've had a few Colnago bikes grace my bike stand. Every paint job is unique.

The one that stood out in my memory a Dedaccia steel frame with 9 SPD Campy Record. It was a religious experience. The Italian's don't make bicycles, they love them into existence.

I have been want to have a frame sprayed in traditional Ndebele art patterns.
