My wife currently has x9 trigger shifters and after plenty problems and even a new one from SRAM we are thinking of changing to grip-shift, are there any real difference between the xo and the xx grip-shifters? Lastly do you know of any good prices going on in SA ? Thanks

There is not really any mechanical differences, its just in the materials used (carbon housing in XX) also X0 offers 3x10 option, work great.

10-speed is major evolution over the 9-speed, bearings etc

Got mine from CRC

I had XO gripshift on my 3x9 and now have the XO gripshifts in 2x10. The new generation gripshifts are very good. Crisp accurate shifting and you can go up and down the cassette in one motion.

My 3x9 gripshift took a lot of punishment with no issues.

As far as pricing goes check the various on line shops. I got a new 2012 XO gripshift for R1800. So shop around, you will find a set for a good price.
