Helmets I always buy locally - much easier to use their crash replacement policy when it is local.....

 

Also it's nice to try them on for size - some fit better than others.

 

Import duty on a helmet should be nothing - safety equipment - just VAT and courier charges.

Unfortunately, SARS see them as clothing.

Just remember to keep the slip. Omnico wouldn't help me with my Giro helmet after I crashed, because I had lost the receipt. :thumbdown:

Think thats pretty standard for any purchase though. They need to know if it falls within the 3 year period for the crash warranty.
