Got a new frame today...

67 degree head angle, ISCG05 tabs, dropper post cable routing... and my 140mm Vanilla with the 1.5" steerer will fit with the help of a Nukeproof headset. Best of all... it was on a 45% off special on CRC.

What more can a guy ask for in a play bike?

YES I.. almost clicked to cart one of those marleys last week..was deciding if the i&i looked better on the black frame. Be sure to get mellow for the ride .. me bredren  sliiick

Hey, if you can have a good time on it, it doesn't matter too much how pretty it is! But it also looks pretty decent!

What is a poor mans xx1? You getting a big cassette? Isn't it already that with the wolf and clutch derailleur? I reckon I'm gonna be on this program with my trail bike soon. You should bring that sucker to France next year. Give her a workout in her natural habitat.

You're right wrt the chainring and clutch. But cassette will become 11-41 as opposed to 11-36 that it is now.

Would love to come to France next year but will have to pull some serious negotiations with the Mrs.

Where you gonna get a 41 from?

Just cowboy up and tell her. when the screaming subsides she'll come around. You only get one lap of the track. May as well make it a fun one. You'll actually be surprised. Most women want their men to be happy. And the ones that don't should be ejected immediately.

Ah - thx.

Looking into buying a trance X2 with elixer 5's with the blue hoses & was wondering whether I should sell them & opt for a set of Shimanos instead.

There's nothing wrong with Avid. The xc okes that bitch about brake fade are either 140kg + or they don't know how to brake. I rode Elixir 5's in the Alps where you have 5km proper steep downhills and they were fine. if you modulate your braking they won't overheat and fade.
