So.... gears are getting LESS.... but more expensive.....?? and we support this? This is like a can of coke going from 330ml to 275ml and triple the price but we all run out and buy it...?? WHY???

 

Just for the "cool" factor? To have the "bling" (or lack there of) to be better than our mates and everyone else...?

 

and then we all wanna cry about prices- but we do it to ourselves..........if nobody bought these parts at these prices....

The number of gears reduces, yes. The range of gear ratios, not necessarily.

Heard from the SRAM rep that it'll be here in August. Apparently some OEM spec'd bikes will have XO1 carbon cranks, but all aftermarket will be ally.
