By the location I guess there isnt much current to contend with - or am I talking out of my ass?

 

I don`t know that side of the world all that well but Im guessing there wont be much in alt gain on the bike and run.

hey Vinny,

 

the vaal dam has multiple personalities, when the weather is calm the water is like a mirror but if the wind comes up waves of 1.5 meters are not uncommon so its luck of the draw at the end of the day. in terms of alt gain, there is a myth that the freestate is flat, believe me the cycle route will be everything but flat, sure there wont be any cat1 climbs but it will be a challenging route that i promise you

Suit me a bit better - I cant keep up with the roadies, that`s why the Rockman X is so appealing.

Its sooo friggin sad that this event is the same weekend as Midmar. We need more Tri races in SA and now there is two on the same day 300km apart!!! I can understand 2 races one in Joburg and Cape Town on the same weekend but this is really sad.
