He could just post their latest race results....that will settle it me thinks

Definitely agree with this... That said I'd take a 29er HT over a 26 FS anyday. Maybe I'm biased though, as for me "fun" is being faster than my mates on 26 FS bikes

But how will race results be a good judge of who had more "fun"? :P

Sorry for heading off topic hellocolour, tell your friend to buy both!

Oh no it won't...it will just really say who is faster, won't mean jack sheet...just pulling slicks leg

Saw crusher with a fatty on sunday...surley moonlander....the guy had grin from ear to ear...Now that looks like fun

Just kms of singletrack i link together from the wilds up to bird sanctuary through linksfield up the ridge.Few jumps that might test that 9r wheel strength, but nothing impossible if you can ride 2 wheels.Might just be more work on the 9r  ;)

demmit that is one area I don't know at all....most tech riding imo is bike park...no jokes.

Also perhaps a 27.5 inch 120mm is best of both worlds .....not to sure on variety and options on these puppies

Yeah I tend to agree with this. I guess the availability of spares ect is the only setback with the 27.5 at this stage.

Couple of weeks ago I did Oom Piets descent at VG - only my third time there but the first time I rode all the way down without stopping. Didn't expect to take Strava KOM down there (and not by 12 seconds...) I'm in my 40s ffs. My younger more skilled mates will be much faster than that.

Everyone loves gushers bike. Little boys pointing with mouths open. Then he still rides away from meup Delta on it. Bastid

Oom piets took my "green machine" a few years ago...cracked it going down there. Probably the hardest section on your bike at fun gaalens I reckon.

That moonlander moves like a caterpillar....insane to watch it going up curbs etc
