I am not sure what this statement has to do with being fit. The organizers are donating the cost of medals to a very worthy cause and you respond like this? We clearly ride with different crowds. Come and ride Attakwas in January. They have very nice medals there. I have 3 of them already.

I am done arguing with you. You making such a fuss about this event, yet you are not even riding it. Calling people names because we complain about an event being to expensive. I dont care if the money is for charity or Jacob zumas petrol fund, if it is expensive, more so than similar other events, I will point it out. Calling me a Jock etc etc, you are very strong behind your keyboard. Looking forward to meeting you so we can see if you are just as strong in person. I work hard in the gym and on the bike. Nothing you say will change that. Glad you have 3 Attekwas medals, I will hopefully also get the privilidge to earn one one day.

Yup, and you dont even get a medal, yes I know everyone does not like them or need them, but I love em, and so do my friends. If you charge that amount and you are too cheap for a medal, you aint getting my cash.Please consider to provide riders with the option to receive a medal after completing the ride over and above the donation to your charity. I will also be doing the Helderberg race te Sunday, so will everyone else I ride with. My friends and I will rather do an event that is more in line with what we can afford.

If a race is a Cycletour qaulifier it cost R300. All the MTN/ Nissan races is also in that range. The Karoo to Coast is also in that price range. No trail stay in rideable condition without maintenance, especially after a winter like this one. Every year there is new laws and rules to have an event on your property. It is getting more expensive to host events. I stopped doing events because of fuel prices and event cost. Anybody can go to Welvanpas, Meerendal, Bottelary and Jonkers for R40/day. Do appreciate these places, there is a lot of effort going into all of them and hosting an events does help. Please just go and enjoy your mountainbike.
