Matt Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Port Elizabeth is set to welcome a flood of cross-country and downhill specialists as they descend on the Hayterdale Trails at the base of the Zuurberg Pass near Addo for the 2013 Cycling SA-MTB National Championships, powered by Frontier Events on 20 and 21 July. Brian Fantana Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 The downhill and XCO course is awesome, I rode both this past weekend. Very nice. In addition to the XCO and DHI courses there is about 40km of glorious singletrack on the property. Most exciting trail in the Eastern Cape! Cannot wait to watch SA champs!!
Sacrosanct Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 A lot of thought, planning and preparation has been put into the course for SA champs. Should make for a great test run at provincials this weekend...

Everything on the DHI course is ride able with an AM right? (Of course talking the chicken runs over the gnarly things)
Brian Fantana Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Everything on the DHI course is ride able with an AM right? (Of course talking the chicken runs over the gnarly things) Yip very rideable, 1.7km long and a fairly skilled rider will be able to ride everything on an AM bike. I am not there yet My plan is to ride the DH course on my Shova without any chicken runs this weekend. Will report back on Monday. That entire place is just fun, fun, fun, definitely my favourite trail.
