Your bike feels sketchy and dodgy all at the same time, like it has a mind of its own and you simply cannot control it! Your knuckles are white and you’re scared… No danger, we have the cure…

This course is targeted at the beginner rider as well as the seasoned roadie who sucks off road…

We’re gonna get you well acquainted with your bike and teach you the fundamentals of balance and control… Basic bicycle Kung-Fu if you like…

What will you learn?

We will start off with ensuring your setup is correct

Correct body position and posture, seated and standing… Consider this the wax on wax off phase of your training…

Cleating in and out.

Braking, can’t rock it if you can’t stop it…

Front wheel manual – You will master pavements after this…

Back wheel awareness, you can save plenty money knowing this skill…

Bunny hop, the naffest sounding but most awesome weapon in your skills arsenal, it also looks pretty cool…

Pedal stroke – How to save energy, maximize power and keep traction…

Gear selection and correct shifting techniques. Being in the right gear at the right time is crucial to keeping the rubber side down, and if done correctly will prolong the life of your drive train…

Cornering – Seated and standing. Correct cornering techniques will see you flow on tight twisty single track and carry more speed through corners. The less you decelerate and then have to accelerate again, the more energy you save…

Control and confidence…

Cost Per Person: R400

Hayley, Gavin speaks the truth.

He has been teaching skills for years, and has taught both me and my wife a thing or two. (Keep it clean boys!)

edit: just to be clear - a front wheel manual means the front wheel is off the ground

INSTEAD OF CHIRPING I THINK YOU IN NEED OF THE COURSE  :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

Bunny hop... bleh!

Im strong like bull, I make my own path through the rock, that how I roll

Hats off to Gavin for taking this on, I cant teach these skills at all, Ive tried with my prettier half and it ends up in silence.

@N, I am not ripping him off, I just know how much I have been practising those two and also with the help of friends (that knows how to do way more tricks than that).

Yes with clips to lift you back wheel is easy peasy, but damn I can not get it right with flats.

Also, I can lift my front wheel onto pavements (and a bit higher - like maybe 30cm now already), but that isnt free wheel manualing....I want to manual and bunny hop with flats! (Badly!)

even if this is my shoe of choice?

and my bike is 14kg and has 150mm + travel?

All within this one lesson?

(cause then I will sign up, if it is a guarantee)

Pull in! How long have you had your trail bike Hayley? Thanks NoliPoli... Miss you guys...

Hayley... I now understand your questioning... This is our FUNdamental clinic aimed at beginners... Your definition of a manual probably differs from mine, a manual is when you lift the front wheel without pedaling... Come see me for a 1on1 session...

Nice shoes BTW...

Coaster wheelies are determined by the size of your nads...

Ask Skandalis how he learnt to do it so quickly ;)

Yes Gavin. Where were you? I was injured and sick and still rode two of the three stages.
