Pity for Pozzovivo at 6th on GC - punctures just outside the 3km mark from today's finish....

:-(

Oh I see, for some reason, the mark was now declared at 5 kms.

Weird...

A few bumps to come

(the next 4 stages)

Nibs' tour to lose, but I would love Valverde to take it.

Yeah, I like Nibali, he appears to be a fairly quite guy and I have always liked his spirit, but I would also like Valverde to take it, I just think he had some bad luck at the tour, this would be a nice recompense.

Had to chuckle at Mathew Keenans comment, "Valverde is very lean, carrying no extra weight, except that heavy gold chain around his neck." Classic.!

My old favourite @The Broom Wagon "Just seen the finish of todays #vuelta. Fair play to Gilbert, came through from a long way back. Poor Edvald Boassen Secondgen."

“Nibali has to be the favourite. He is in extraordinary condition, he is fresh and he’ll make things very difficult for us come the mountain stages.”

Awesome in by the break.

Great victorious day for the 21yr old from Brittany!

Stage winner Bruegill said to be skinny. 1.83m tall and only 60 odd kilogram.

Nibs looking secure.

Basso withdraws due to hypothermia - awwww!

RATTO takes it for Cannondale Pro Cycling on a wet and miserable day for racing.
