Fun MTB event for the whole family with distances from 20km to 66km though the farmlands and koppies of Eastern Gauteng. The route is flat and fast consisting of jeep track, single track and some secondary gravel roads. Food stalls available at the venue on race day.

Did the 44km and thoroughly enjoyed it, found route markings and marshaling excellent, course was fast and non technical, no bottlenecks either.

 

Rib rolls at the end rounded off a great day in the saddle.

Also did the 44km, fast and flat!! Good fun.

Wind was a bit strong at times but hey can't have flat and no wind!!

Not happy with these guys... No one said any where we would not be timed if we had no chip. Did the 66 and at the end they just said oh sorry inly people with chips get timed.

 

Any other race normaly takes your nr and works out position that way

Yip I agree with you.

I ended up buying a chip which was a bit of a pain, and I actually already have a chip I just didnt have it with me.

And they should have mentioned it when you collected your number. I only heard about the chip when we ready to start!

The online entries said 'timed by championchip'. It was mentioned at registration and on the start line. Where were you?

I did see that was on the entries but I didn't take note, so that is my fail!!!

I did hear when they mentioned it at the start line. That is when I purchased one!
