Geez, this morning (still dark out there at 5.30) a guy came from the front on a wide trail with one of those double lights fitted to his bike. It looked like a car was coming for me! His light blinded me completely and I could not see where I was going for a while there.

Surely they can add a dim-light type switch so the rider can dim the light a bit as a courtesy to others but I suppose this wont always be possible riding off road with a bicycle. Maybe a little push button type knob on the grip will be safe where the rider wouldn't have to move his hand?

I'm sure the light is awesome to ride with but my little magic light is really effective and does not blind other riders cycling towards me.

Any comments about these very bright lights? There are quite a few posts on lights but could not find anything about views on this.

There was something a while back about lights being too bright.

But what you going to do? Guys are always striving for bigger (well, better) and brighter lights with longer battery life. And on the other hand, someone complains that they are too bright. Not you, its been brought up before.

Where is the disconnect, the "sweet spot", in terms of brightness?

Tough choice.
