Clinton - theCOW Posted September 26, 2013 Share anybody know if this race is as tough as the 45km eqstra spring classic (nearly killed me) Judging from the last 2 years, the 55km pretty much covers all of the NF long (black) route. Not sure about the short 25km. NF in general is not that taxing compared to eg VG, Thaba or even some of the hilly loose rock stuff at Groenkloof. It's mostly hardpack like 99%, the other 1% will comprise a bit of soft sand, a mud pudlde or 2 depending on the rain and watering at the farm.
