I have a Topeak gauge but I am starting to question the readings. On mtb I ride 1.3 front and 1.6 back and the 1.6 feels extremely hard (by feel)

Would be cool if one could calibrate the gauges.

Maybe some of the guys with smarts can help with DIY - thinking water level in a clear pipe pushing air into pressure gauge and then one can make a list of water level pressure benchmark corresponding to gauge readings.

Maybe a cool idea for LBS to have such a setup so one can feel more confident about the gauge pressure reading.

Also useful for road trips, as one can't trust the petrol station gauges.

If you REALLY want it's calibration checked - HDS in Strydom Park can do it for you.

 

Petrol station gauges are often out by as much as 30 - 50% according to my Longacre pressure gauge - which unfortunately only works on car tire valves.

Yes disappointed. It is way off, I will most likely return it to Cycle Lab. I pumped the Tandem wheels the normal 10psi and the gauge reads 7,5 psi.
