I did the same route yesterday.

Once you turn right off that long dirt road with the bumps along it and start climbing it feels like the hills are not going to end.

That black route is a serious leg worker.

well done on your perseverance mate. Thats Rinkhals, and only half of what it will soon be!

Cycled there today... all I can say is true mountain biking. Black route is hard on the legs and the decline is aweaome... didnt get to the red route but if thats tougher than red... shew im in big trouble

Cheers mate! The red is tough, in a different way. Later you will see there are multiple combinations you can try, each with a different rhythm. (eg. Rinkhals in reverse is an awesome downhill, but requires serious effort to get up the first bit).

Don't get me wrong, that existing Rhinkals is enough to work ones legs over well and proper.

I take my hat off to anyone that rides that Entire Rhinkals with out stopping.

Did a bit of a recce there over the weekend....super place.

Safe parking

Awesome trailhead that is well stocked with goodies and the tannie makes a mean bacon and egg roll

We did the blue, black, green and red....with the black being the standout. The views are very cool but bring your climbing legs. The downs are technical and rocky and will reward anyone that knows their way around a bike.

For the spruit enduro rats...you guys should check this out as a potential enduro venue.

Will definitely be back, would be awesome if there is a link between them and fun gaalens.

Ja must admit that would be pretty awesome ride.

Funny you say that. One landowner on Rinkhals has recently offered just that. We're thinking of calling it Franks 'T'. watch this space.

A link between V Gaalens and Hakahana would be awesome! What distance are we looking at between the two.

Rouxtjie, what sort of mileage and climbing metres did you rack up on your ride?
