MTB RACE TIMING

I am really impressed with the efficiency that SS Timing is doing the timing at events. These guys are doing the Trailseeker and USN Cup. In both instances the results are available almost immediately. SAS is updated soon afterwards. The seeding of the events with SAS work very well and makes both the series really enjoyable. The results of the Beast of the East, that took place more than a week ago, are not yet available on SAS, although cyclists were ensured that the event was a SAS event.

To choose races to participate in next year, really is a "no-brainer". Is the race timed by SS Timing and is it a SAS race? No? Then I will wait for next week, when there probably will be such a race.

I fully agree with you, the improvement in SASeeding & their handling and publishing of results, and the subsequent seeding of riders particularly when in conjunction with SS timing has been immense in the last 6 months or so & I think the persons concerned need to be congratulated on this improvement.

 

Previously it was very cumbersome and frustrating to use and in my opinion very inefficient and inaccurate, almost to the point of being unuseable. Since the change to the new system, and also their new & easier to use (SASeeding) website, it has been a pleasure to use and in fact also much easier to understand.

 

For those of you who don't understand your race indexes & seeding awarded for a certain race, go have a look at the website, it is explained well and should put any confusion to rest.

SaSeeding website is a MAJOR improvement! SStiming did Babbas timing today. It was out and published at about 14:00. I know it is a small race but the commitment seems to be there.

Only thing that's missing is race weights before the races. That way you can plan which races to use as training and which ones to use to improve your seeding.
