Me and the wife will be doing the modest 110km on the tandem... I have no clue what to expect. Obviously the climb in the middle is a tough one, is it known for wind?

 

Enlighten me please?

If you ask any of the guys that did One Tonner, they will tell you that there can be a fair share of wind...but you'll survive

The wind is normally a headwind . Which in my mind is better for a tandem than a side wind?

 

Well not as good as one pushing you from the back..........but what is the odds for that???? In my opion ......zero.

Not driving to any of those places to collect a stoopid number, thank you very muchly!

No there is not. I have the same issue. I have to drive 1 hour 45 mins x 2 to collect the numbers. I have called the above three stores and the organisers and they cant help me...
