I said nothing of the sort.. Go read my post again. What I did say was that you should try and resolve your issues directly with the LBS BEFORE you come to social media and run your mouth.

The issue of quality control is an in house issue that is the responsibility of all shops. No bike should leave without being 100%. Problem is that the responsibility lies on the mechanic to check and not the owner, however it becomes the owner's responsibility at the end of the day because that's who takes all the complaint calls.

If you end up with an unresolved issue and you do bring it here, chances are that the LBS in question has no idea about it and it will be a one sided story and we all know that there are three sides to every story. Theirs, yours and the truth...

Ok so your saying I cannot complain if the bike is not "100%" (as it should be in the first place) as I must first speak to the LBS ;) Why not, it should be 100% before it leaves the shop because they should check it  I like a LBS that does things right the first time :clap:So if its not right then its my right to complain and also to warn my friends that this LBS does not do things right the first time  Having said that, I do my own maintenance and replacements, I only have my wheels trued by my "Wheelman"

Looks like the hub is becoming a "hello peter" for cyclists.....

well better that than nothing...

I'd rather know than dont know...

its becoming like the motor industry...

Where its so easy and lots of gullible people.....

which brings me to another point in another post...what if you drove out the shop... down a hill ...and brakes fail ...and you injure a taxi driver?whos going to pay up?

You?the shop owner?the mechanic?

or the bloke whose parts have been mistakenly put on your bike?...LOL

Yes Reg. Absolutely Reg. I am truly not in the mood to decode it for you. If that's what you got out of it then fine. Go for it. Start a thread. You might as well start a thread when the garage leaves streaks on your window or doesn't quite get to 2.1Bar (or whatever your required tyre pressure is)

<sarcasm font off>

You should probably stick to snake wrangling....

Funny how my rant about a brake got a few people all uptight.

I will say it again- no shop name and no individual was mentioned. I vented my frustration.

A small thing called freedom of speech.

t

To all those saying first sort it with the shop- Read my first post again. Clearly states the amount of times I've had problems with the brake. And still I have not mentioned the shop nor individual.

Some of those comments weren't necessarily aimed at you.... there have been a few LBS slating threads lately. Jusy saying that some people hit the social media button far too early. There are exceptions to every rule though.

Hello Onetime.

Brakes and fancy suspension, is something I would always bring to a reputable bike shop.

There are too many "experts" out there today.

The fact that they replaced hoses and a new service kit (usually orings etc),

and you are complaining about spongy braking, or no braking altogether,

would make me guess about wrong hydraulic fluid or improperly bled system.

Run these ideas past the "bike shop" if they haven't sorted it out yet.
