If you're talking about the tree in the 3rd red sections, we were there today, it's been cleared, didn't see any other fallen trees today.

It was on the yellow trail which i believe most of the race will follow, did 3 laps around 9am so it might be cleared now.

A bit of North Shore in Benoni

Cliff and I have started to add a few more features to the technical Red loop on the trail.

We have decked the section for the transition between the two rock gardens for better flow.

The log ride below should be ready in the next two weeks. We just need to design and build a safe 'dismount' from the descent down the fallen tree.

Safe cycling. See you on the trail.

Pete!

We saw you working on the new trail on Saturday - looking awesome...

I'm loving the progression of BCC from easy winding trails to whoops/yumps/drop offs to bridges/wall rides to north shore.

Awesome awesome - there really is something for everyone now.

If only BCC wasn't so flat - that's about the only limit you have....

Hi All,

Thinking about incorporating BCC into our weekly evening plots spin, is BCC accessible at night by any chance?

Ridden there a couple of times at night, other than the eerie feeling you alone on planet earth, no issues.

My only concern is access, I don't have a multi ride card or membership (However it works).

Wasn't sure if I would be able to pay and get in at like 18h00 or 19h00 on Random evenings.

Stand corrected, but if you have paid before the pro shop closes, you get in at night.

Cheers Gents

Sounds like a great idea and we appreciate the support. It really is a wonderful place to ride at night, safe and secure plus great to help hone your handling skills.

You have two entrance options.

1. Purchase access codes from the Pro-Shop to use for access after hours. You can purchase as many as you require at R 30.00 each.

2. Become a member. R 1,200.00 per year or R 100.00 per month on debit order.

Simply put, if you are riding the trail once a week, membership is the sensible option giving you unlimited 24/7 access.

Hi Pete, I read a disturbing piece on Bookface that there is a developer trying to get into BCC, and destroy it for us. Any truth, or just a Bookface saga?

It's been ongoing for a bit. The City Times has done some reports on it.

Hi Eugene

Yep. It is true. The ruling party is again being persuaded by the well heeled  .

HOWEVER.

BCC has both a brilliant management team as well as a bunker full of ammunition.

Therefore for us it really is just business as usual for now.

I will post any meaningful developments as they happen

Safe cycling  :)

For reports, the local community around BCC have provided quite a bit of support.

Correct Sir- and thank you

We again will be calling for renewed support when it comes to public participation. This is the one area where a show of strength is vitally important.

W'ell keep you posted
