  1. Hi All, Hope you are well? Has anyone ever made a purchase with https://gobicyclestylenetwork.com/ and received their ordered items? I'm rather keen on a few designs however they don't seem to have an amazing presence and there are some reviews from SA people where it took a long time to receive their orders based on the reviews on facebook but these reviews ere from some time ago. Thanks
  2. Hi all So my wife has recently started doing Tri's and got her first BlueSeventy Trisuit. My wife has type 1 diabetes and use a pump for insulin which uses medical tubing to inject the insulin. The question we have, does anyone know of someone in the Joburg area that could create a hole in the Trisuit pockets and makes sure it doesn't get bigger over time so that my wife can attach the pump in T1? We obviously can create the hole ourselves but the part we aren't sure about is stopping it from getting bigger when the suit is stretched (putting on and taking off) Thanks
  3. Another option and the reason I activated the endurance mode was because I struggle getting my average heart rate anywhere near the averages set by Disco for my age especially with cycling where I'm lucky if my average heart rate ends above 130 on a hard ride and a max of around 160 (running seems to affect my heart rate a bit more). With endurance mode turned on, Disco will give you more points for lower heart rate averages. Previously I just got 100 points for speed work.
  4. I'm using the endurance option purely because of a low heart rate and currently it's at 650 points. It seems to have changed to 650 this week. ***Edit: added point increase***
  5. I know that My Training Day has a ride that starts at Virgin Active on Corner of Main and William Nicol not sure of the days though as I joined TriFactori.
  6. Hi all, a week ago, I invested in an Elite Suito trainer and using my Garmin Fenix 3 for HR data and Disco points. On Zwift everything works perfectly (besides my legs) however the speed reading that my watch is picking up using ANT+ seems to state that my next job is a professional cyclist. The workout I did today was a 32 minute workout where I covered 52.3 km at an average of 95.7 km/h according to the values my Garmin received however that's obviously not the case. Has anyone else had this before and know how to possibly address it?
  7. November Ironman has just been cancelled...
  8. it seems that we will not be able to watch the Tour though as it's not listed as one of the races for South African viewing...
  9. Hi All, Have you have wildly inaccurate elevation readings? I seem to mostly have it with running more than cycling.
  10. it seems as though this App name has been changed to Garmin Connect. Just comparing it to the amount of downloads. Couldn't find the reconnected app anymore.
  11. Well I guess you are going to be very surprised with the Banks of SA... The ones we deal with do not embrace newer tech and asking them to do so is an endless loop of trying to get approval from someone else...
  12. I suspect that the US Military division of Garmin will not be hosted on the Garmin network but rather on the US Military network with on site contracted Garmin engineers to assist with anything they need help with. It's a lot easier for the US Military to keep their networks under control than to trust that a third party will do that for them.
  13. Buzzrack has a similar type of clamp for their other bike racks. I may be cheaper than the Thule ones.
  14. You can use the below site to create a circle from your address to see what areas the circle covers: just put in the address, radius required and then click new circle. https://www.mapdevelopers.com/draw-circle-tool.php
  15. It seems like the person got on an indoor trainer from the 3 hour mark as the elevation and location doesn't change. The 5 km radius however is nowhere near being met...
  16. If the bike was insured, the insurance companies would be able to track down the owner.
  17. Tracker updated 52 minutes ago, I suspect he is near the front. Seems his wife (Odette) is in the ladies race this year as well.
  18. I rate you do it and I will set the bar for you to beat. My first 947 was in 2014 and I finished after 8 hours and 34 minutes of walking and swearing as I pushed my MTB up many of the hills. This was the worst day of my life but since then I have dropped my times like a stone and getting closer each year to the sub 3 hour mark (not happening this year due to mainly focusing on Triathlon and Running). Follow Robert's eating plan and you will be fine. Enjoy the ride
  19. Thanks all the responses. During and before swim, all I drink is plain water so can't see that being to much of an issue. I have googled previously and apparently on forums its a common thing. According to Google though I have severe asthma and will be died in the next few hours. I do think you have a point here. I swim at Boksburg public pool and I'm not sure when they put in the chlorine so will speak to them. If it is at night, we only swim in the mornings so we would get the full brunt of it. I haven't noticed a difference in phlegm from winter where there were covers to now when there aren't. Have read a few already however many don't mention ways of addressing the issue. That's not a bad idea... may try that one
  20. I used to have the same issue and I found that I was trying to hold my breath and then breath out and back in when I tilted my head. The best thing that I started to do was exhaling when my face was under water and the breathing in when I tilted my head. If you doing this already then a coach would be the next step otherwise there is plenty on the internet that will give you tips
  21. Strange question with regards to Swimming in a chlorine pool. Does anyone feel like they struggle breathing due to a phlegm build up? I feel I have to cough a few time during the set just to get through it. I only get this in chlorine pools and not in open water dam/lake swims. Haven't swum in a Salt water pool yet however I don't get this issue when I swim in the ocean.
  22. Hi All Anyone have a link to watch the race? Thanks
  23. Obviously depending on the result of your Doc's orders, I may be available to take the entry off you if you so wish.
