Another prime example of quackery.

 

My grandpa told me had witseerkeel (not confirmed by a doctor) as a kid. They only had 'boererate' on the farm.

The other kids were sent out to collect dried doggiedoo on the lawn. But it had to be white hondedr...e. This was powdered and blown into his throat with a strooitjie. He said it cured him. Must have been a desperate situation.

 

Just the threat of that treatment will make me so well that I can run a 4 minute mile there and then!
