Hubset SRAM 406H, 32h

QR That came Std with the bike

Cup and cone based according to SRAM site. Have a look at the following links that will show how to adjust it. When I had XT hubs I found that it's a delicate balance and I always had a tiny bit of play, but when putting weight on the wheel it was fine.

Also have a look at open / closed cam quick releases. I prefer closed cam.

Here's the SRAM Page, including some tech docs: http://www.sram.com/...ts/sram-406-hub

Adjusting it should be a 5min job if you have the right spanners. Servicing might take a bit longer, esp if you lose some bearings and have to search for them :)

A QR should leave a mark on your hand when you tighten it. Anything less than that and the wheel could move in the dropout and/or come loose.

As for setting the bearing, get some cone spanners and learn how it's done. Your neighbours will learn some new words the first few times you do it, but it's pretty simple once you get a feel for it.
