Just want to know, what should one expect to pay to buy an Argus entry from someone else.

Or does it come down to supply and demand?

The guy selling his ticket could ask something for it, but since it goes to charity, all is not lost :P I would ask for maybe the difference in ticket price and sub fee if anything.

That said, you still need to pay a substitution fee.. last year I paid 150 bucks as the subby fee for the ticket I took off somebody else. That person had also paid to sponsor another rider so I am not sure if that counted in my favour or not when subbing.

is there not a rule that says u can't charge more than the original costs. ie u can't make a profit????

2. The entrant withdrawing may ask for the substitute entrant to refund their entry fee but they may not ask for more than they originally paid. PPA members paid an entry fee of R330 and non-PPA members paid an entry fee of R360.

You dont pay the 180 substitution fee to the guy with the entry. You will need to pay that when you do the substitution online. That is after he locked on to release his entry.
