    Incredible sad, this place wont be the same. Started off reading the thread, feeling shocked at what happened, and looking for a happy ending, however finding anything but. Didnt know him personally, but respected him and admired him for what he was doing in the community and the animals which came into his life. Condolences to all who knew him and his family. Very very sad loss.

    Catch 22. I think publicly advertising this could work against the whole drive. Imagine if too many people pitch and have to be turned away. That would be the end of it.

    Sulu's tone on this thread actually grinds my gears. I wouldnt support purely because of his approach and eagerness to make the issue the consumers. Education is key, not beration.. might learn a lesson or two still.

    The local support for Thule has always impressed me, with plenty spare parts if you need to replace. Any issues ive had with my previous carriers they are quick to sort out, expensive, but peace of mind ultimately.

    cant wait.. what little greenbelts we have are being used heavily.. walkers are feeling pushed out because of all the riders, and ive overheard comments of people I ride past...

    Last year wasnt congested much, except when you get to the awesome crafted single track sections. Often queues form. Was a very good race however, with awesome water points and a great lunch afterwards. Too tough to try race it for me, its more about just getting to the finish

    How accurate is this movie? Is it dramatised for effect? TBH, Im not interested in watching it and shudder what the general public would think about cycling after this movie.

    I bought my house with tokai in mind, was one of the main reasons, and that was about 1 yr exactly prior to the burns. My motivation to go for a ride now is the lowest its been since starting to cycle. I think they will have to rebuild all the trails and jeep track around Tokai shortly after it opens.. its going to be soooooo busy.
