[Event] Tour De PPA - 19/01/14

I find the idea that getting a result for a race you paid for to be regarded a special privilege / incentive to be petty/stupid. And it causes endless confusion as seen on this thread and numerous others.

 

Especially when (most) non-PPA races publish results without fuss

 

For me as a PPA member getting an earlier seeded start is more than enough incentive to join.

 

I understand the irritation factor and agree on the seeding/earlier start.

 

There is a valid argument to be made for charging non-members extra and then timing everyone that show up with a Racetec chip. I just don't think it has been motivated well enough to the the PPA powers that be. Nor is it likely to be, because the board is made up of members.

 

(Just saying, I'm a PPA member, but not involved in managing it at all.)
